Federal Police opens new headquarters in Brasília, which will cost R$ 17.3 million a year

The Federal Police opens on Friday (25) the new headquarters of the institution in Brasília. The ceremony will be attended by the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Anderson Torres.

The PF will occupy three of the four towers of the Multibrasil Corporate Building, a newly opened office complex, in an area of 18,500 square meters, in the North Commercial Sector, in the center of the federal capital.

The building has 39 floors, 810 private parking spaces, bike rack, gym, restaurant, shared auditorium for 254 seats with modern sound and lighting system. All this modernity will cost approximately R$ 17.3 million per year, and R$ 86.5 million over five years to the public coffers. The lease agreement is for five years.

With this change, the PF was able to bring together in one place all the sectors that were in buildings scattered around the city, such as the Chemical Products Control and Private Security Control and Inspection divisions, as well as the Intelligence sector, which were in the Southwest.

Other facilities, such as the PF Regional Superintendence in Brasília and the National Police Academy, where new police officers are trained, will remain as they are, as the buildings are owned by them.

Accommodating several units at the same address will save resources according to the Federal Police, and also services such as surveillance, reception, brigade, cleaning, conservation and maintenance already included in the condominium value, will reduce expenses with the displacement of servers between units, according to the agency.

The departure of the Máscara Negra, as the traditional building that the PF had occupied since the 1960s is called, occurred due to several problems such as old electrical installations, lack of emergency stairs, among others. The goodbye should happen until the beginning of April, in a simple event, with the unveiling of the flags of Brazil, the Federal Police and the Federal District.
