This Friday (7), the Federal Police (PF) is taking another action against a suspected head of a criminal organization that committed fraud against the National Social Security Institute (INSS). The kidnappings of three properties located in Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada Fluminense, and belonging to the target of the operation, are being carried out, with a total value of R$1.5 million.
This is the second phase of Operation Rábula, the first phase of which was launched in September last year, and targeted a criminal group that used fictitious names to receive the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC), aimed at low-income elderly people.
The benefits were then withdrawn monthly by the gang. The estimated loss reaches more than R$6 million.
In the first phase of the action, six preventive arrest warrants and ten search and seizure warrants were served, issued by the 2nd Federal Criminal Court of Rio de Janeiro. The investigation was supported by the Ministry of Social Security.
