Federal revenue increases by 4.07% and reaches R$ 166.2 billion in September

Federal revenue for the month of September reached R$ 166.2 billion, with a real increase, already adjusted for inflation, of 4.07%, compared to September 2021. According to information released this Tuesday (25) by the Brazilian Federal Revenue, this is the highest result for a month of September since 2000.

The Revenue also explains that if non-recurring factors were not considered, such as extraordinary income and tax exemptions of a temporary nature, the result for the month would be R$ 163.2 billion.

According to the agency, “the increase observed in the period can be explained, mainly, by the growth of IRPJ and CSLL collections.”. In the month of September, according to the Revenue, the Corporate Income Tax and Social Contribution on Net Income totaled a collection of R$ 28.4 billion, with a real growth of 9.85%.

“It is important to note that there were atypical payments of approximately R$ 2 billion by companies linked to the commodities sector.”, completes the Federal Revenue document.

Another highlight is the Social Security Revenue, which collected R$ 45.7 billion, with a real increase of 4.84%. According to Receite, the result is mainly due to the real increase of 8.50% in the salary mass.
