Federal revenue totals BRL 164.1 billion in March, third consecutive monthly record

With the collection of R$ 164.147 billion in taxes and contributions, federal revenue in March recorded the best result for the entire historical series of the month, which began in 1995. This is the third consecutive monthly record.

The value represents a real increase of 6.92% compared to the same month of 2021. Published by the Federal Revenue this Thursday (28), the collection recovered the rhythm and rose 8.65% in relation to the R$ 148.6 billion collected in February this year.

In the first quarter, tax collection reached R$ 548.1 billion, with a real increase of 11.08%. According to the Revenue, it is also the best collection performance in the historical series for the period.

The folder highlighted that the results are explained by a rise of 24.73% in the month and 22.91% in the year in payments of IRPJ (Corporate Income Tax) and CSLL (Contribution on Net Income).

“It is important to note that there were atypical payments of approximately BRL 3 billion [no mês]by companies linked to the commodities sector”, he highlights.
