Federico Zampaglione and the cast of «Morrison», our video interview

It will arrive in theaters starting May 20th Morrison, the film directed by Federico Zampaglione, based on his novel Where everything is in half. “This is a film that wanted to be born, like some songs,” says the director at a press conference, the first in attendance after a long absence from theaters and cinemas due to restrictions due to the pandemic.

The protagonists of the film are Lodo (Lorenzo Zurzulo), a young man who plays with his group of friends, every Thursday, at Morrison, a floating venue on the Tiber, and Libero (Giovanni Calcagno), former rock star in the wake of the sunset. Gravity between the two also Giulia (Carlotta Antonelli) a novice actress but with great determination and “a healthy selfishness”, as her interpreter defined her. Among the musical guest stars of the film also Ermal Meta and Alessandra Amoroso.

In the video interview you will find the statements of the cast, while regarding the use of the two guest stars Zampaglione commented on his choice at the press conference: “Alessandra is a friend of mine and one of the artists that excites me most when she sings. With great energy and availability, he accepted my invitation. For Ermal, on the other hand, I had always had the role of a murderer in mind. Then I needed a cynical music critic for the film and I called him. I needed a gray eminence, a little creepy, very different from who he really is. On set he was super professional, even if we laughed every time we met our eyes. The hardest thing for him was to concentrate and keep a stern attitude. For me it is nice that colleagues have accepted in a friendly way because they have given a further incentive to music ».

Morrison is a Pegasus Entertainment and QMI production in collaboration with Vision Distribution, Sky and Amazon Prime Video, produced by Ilaria Dello Iacono and Martha Capello and will be distributed starting May 20, 2021 da Vision Distribution.
