Monday 20 May, contrary to what was announced, Fedez will not participate in the first episode of Up close, no one is normalthe new program of Alessandro Cattelan in prime time on Rai 2.
The news was given by Rai with a press release «As agreed with the artist's press office, we inform you that, contrary to what was announced, for health reasons Fedez will not be able to participate in the debut episode of Up close, no one is normalthe new program by Alessandro Cattelan broadcast from Monday 20 May on Rai 2″.
Fedez a Up close, no one is normal: the news was first denied and then confirmed
A few days ago the site of the journalist Davide Maggio had published the news of the non-participation, contrary to what was expected. This had happened immediately after Fedez's involvement in the investigation for the beating of personal trainer Cristiano Iovino. According to Maggio, it was a choice made by the program's production team.
However, RAI not only had not confirmed it, but it had denied, together with Fedez himself who had reiterated his presence in the first episode of Cattelan's new broadcast, on Rai 2, scheduled for Monday 20 May. Indeed, Rai had even spoken of “unacceptable fake news” after the spread of the first rumors relating to Fedez's absence.
There Rai had in fact issued a press release to communicate the falsehood of the news, which was then confirmed, writing: «It is with profound dismay that Rai takes note of yet another “fake” news which concerns it, in particular in reference to the alleged lack of presence of Fedez as a guest on Alessandro Cattelan's program on Rai 2. A fake news, sensationally denied by the facts and spread with unacceptable and gratuitous lightness, with the sole aim of discrediting the Service Public”.
However, yesterday, Saturday 18 May, two days before the start of the programme, the official communication from Rai arrived announcing that, «for health reasons», Fedez will not be able to be present.
In the new program Up Close Nobody is Normal, Alessandro Cattelan will try to find the answers to the questions we ask ourselves every day in an ironic and original way with the help of members of the public and guests from the world of entertainment, sport and comedy. But, for the moment, not Fedez.
