After last year’s modest result – a 3% increase -, the sector responsible for the sale of vehicles expects a growth rate not very different in 2022. Released this Thursday (6), the initial forecasts of Fenabrave, an entity that represents the dealerships, point to a 4.6% growth in vehicle sales this year.
If the prognosis is confirmed, the sector will reach the end of December accumulating 2.22 million licenses, including passenger cars, light utility vehicles, trucks and buses.
The result is not enough, however, for the market to return to the level before the pandemic, since in 2019 sales totaled 2.79 million units.
By segment, Fenabrave forecasts a 4.4% advance in sales of cars and light utility vehicles, such as pickup trucks and vans, while the forecast for the truck market is for greater growth: 7.3%.
In relation to bus sales, the trend indicated by the entity is for growth of 8%.
