The actress Fernanda Montenegro 95, entered the Guinness Book, the Book of Records after breaking the record for largest audience for a philosophical reading in the world .
The certificate was granted by reading “The Farewell Ceremony” from Simone de Beauvoir, to an audience of more than 15 thousand people at Ibirapuera Park in August.
Upon accepting the award, the actress was moved and thanked the audience: “I share this award with everyone who was present at this great meeting between art and education,” she wrote in the caption.
“Miracles happen,” she said upon receiving the certificate. “Having taken Simone de Beauvoir to 15 thousand people inside Ibirapuera… Does this happen anywhere else in the world?”
“Just saying, for 15 thousand people. Just bringing ideas that are not easy to absorb, and no one leaves. Everyone accepts every word that is said and ends up applauding”, he added.
“In my lifetime, this moment will never happen again. So, as much as I’m grateful, there is, without a doubt, the fulfillment of a vocation”, said the actress.
