Fernanda Paes Leme reflects on motherhood: “Overwhelming transformation”

Fernanda Paes Leme 41, made a statement on her social media about motherhood. The actress is the mother of Pilar, 3 months old, the result of her relationship with the businessman Victor Sampaio 32. In a text published on Instagram stories, on Friday (19), she says that becoming a mother is an “overwhelming” transformation and highlights the importance of having a support network.

“Pilar fell asleep and I often stay here, sitting on the nursing chair, which is kind of like my couch, listening to her sleeping noise, giving thanks and also thinking about life… About everything that motherhood impacts… The transformation is overwhelming,” she begins.

“The body changes, the weather changes, marriage changes, some friends change, priorities change… Sometimes it feels empty, sometimes it’s an explosion of happiness. Sometimes you get upset because no one asks you out, sometimes you turn down all the invitations because you want to cling to your baby,” the text continues. “There are so many things bubbling up inside and it’s so important to feel everything in order to understand and have a support network, to share the pains and joys, it’s great luck,” she adds.

The actress then says that a support network is important for sharing feelings experienced during motherhood. “The network can be your family, a friend, people who weren’t even friends before, but are going through the same thing as you… And before you know it, you’re talking about everything from super deep feelings to how you miss getting Botox… No judgments,” she writes.

Pilar was born on March 17th of this year. In a relationship since January 2021, Fernanda and Victor had announced their pregnancy in October 2023. In early April, Fernanda Paes Leme chose Giovanna Lancellotti to be Pilar’s godmother, in a moment full of emotion.
