A ferry boat coming from the island of Capri ran into the pier of the port of Naples at noon today, probably due to the strong wind and rough seas. According to the information so far, about 30 passengers were slightly injured. A woman's condition is of greater concern, but is not considered critical. It has not yet been established whether, in addition to bad weather conditions, the incident was also due to human error. First aid was provided by men and women of the Italian national health system, while members of the police and carabinieri also rushed to the port of Naples. The Ministry of Transport made it known that it is in constant contact with the Port Authority of Naples and that it is informed about the development of the case, with the aim of ascertaining the causes of the collision.
