Fertilizantes Henringer said on Tuesday (16) that investigations into allegations of fraud could, if the evidence is confirmed, result in write-offs in the value of the company’s fixed assets, reducing its equity, according to a material fact.
“To date, through its internal investigations, the Company has managed to identify, preliminarily, that the main irregularities reported through its ethics channels refer to maintenance services in the Company’s equipment and facilities that were possibly overpriced,” said the company. company.
Heringer added that it seeks to conclude the investigations as soon as possible, after having reported on August 11 the receipt of the fraud allegations.
An Investigation Committee was set up, assisted by independent consultants, which reports to the company’s Board of Directors.
The company has gradually resumed operations, with a unit in Rio Grande (RS) returning to operation in July. There are now 12 fertilizer mixing plants operating and two are still dormant, one in Paranaguá and the other in Porto Alegre.
Heringer reported last week a reduction of 11.6% in semi-annual deliveries of fertilizers, to 543 thousand tons, due to the postponement of purchases from sugarcane and coffee producers, important crops for the company.
On the other hand, net revenue rose 90% in the second quarter, to R$1.08 billion.
