The Música Alimento Da Alma (MADA) festival, scheduled to take place between the 23rd and 24th of September in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, should generate more than R$6 million.
The projection made by the organizers, obtained exclusively by CNN, is that the 2022 edition, which celebrates 24 years of the event, will have twice the economic movement of the last edition, which took place before the pandemic, in 2019.
With prominent artists of current Brazilian music, such as Emicida, BaianaSystem and Glória Groove, the event is expected to attract around 30,000 people over the two days at Arena das Dunas – a stadium built for the 2014 World Cup.
The average ticket expected for the next edition, that is, the average daily expense of a person at the event, is R$ 700 per day, according to the organizers.
Data from the Federation of Commerce of Goods Services and Tourism of Rio Grande do Norte (Fecomércio RN) pointed out that in the 2019 edition, festival participants spent an average of R$ 350 on each day of the event, which moved approximately R$ 3.234 million services such as accommodation, food and transport.
