A model from Mexico revealed her sad story: her fiance left her shortly after she was diagnosed with cancer on the chest. 24-year-old Lucero Vega has not revealed the name of her soon-to-be husband, who reportedly ended their relationship just two months after the tragic diagnosis.
“I initially felt a void because I saw that I could start a family with him,” the young lady told NeedToKnow.Online, adding that she is now selling the wedding dress her to raise money for the treatment.
The 24-year-old, who has lost her hair since starting chemotherapy, noted that her partner was initially supportive. “I went to do egg freezing with him because I really wanted a family with him,” she said, but he soon changed his mind.
On December 24th, Vega completed her 8th and final round of chemotherapy, but her battle is not over as she has to undergo surgery and radiotherapy, which means she needs money.
So she decided to auction off the wedding dress she intended to wear to her wedding. She is also auctioning a 2001 VW Golf.
“What people with cancer need to understand is that this is a long process. I will be receiving treatment for about five years,” he said.
