Fies opens registration for the second semester this Tuesday (9); see calendar

This Tuesday (9), registration was opened for the selection process of Fies (Student Financing Fund) for the second half of this year.

Students interested in funding for higher education have until 11:59 pm this Friday (12) to register on the Ministry of Education (MEC) portal. The website can be accessed here.

According to the MEC, there are more than 44 thousand vacancies offered this semester.

“The result will be announced in a single call, on August 16. Those registered who are not selected in the call will be automatically included in the waiting list”, informed the MEC.

Who can compete?

All students who have taken the Enem (National High School Exam) of any edition since 2010 are eligible to apply for Fies, provided they have obtained a minimum average of 450 points in the exam tests and a grade greater than zero in the essay.

Those who took the Enem in the “trainer” modality cannot register for the Fies.

“In order to obtain financing, it is also necessary to prove a monthly family income per capita of up to three minimum wages”, informed the MEC.

Fies schedule for the 2nd half of 2022

  • Registration: August 9th to 12th;

  • Result of single call and waiting list: August 16;

  • Complementation of inscriptions: August 17th to 19th;

  • Call for the waiting list: August 22nd to September 22nd.
