Fiesp and government of SP will create Industry Development Council

The management of Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) and the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp) agreed on the creation of the Industry Development Council, as anticipated by Broadcast, the real-time news system of Grupo Estado.

Suggested by the president of the institution, Josué Gomes da Silva, the council will be made up of representatives of the São Paulo industrial unions and members of the state administration.

“By accepting Fiesp’s proposal, Governor Tarcísio shows the importance that his administration will give to the industry”, says Josué. “The governor is convinced that the best way to make São Paulo grow at high rates is to accelerate the growth of the Transformation Industry in the State”, he continues, in a note.

According to the institution, the focus of the council will be “to propose ways to boost the productive and technological expansion of the industry in São Paulo, in addition to making the installation of new companies possible in various segments”.

The idea is for the council to also discuss decarbonization and sustainability priorities. “The model and details of how the Industry Council works are yet to be defined”, he points out.

The creation of the Council was announced last Tuesday, the 6th, after Fiesp’s last board meeting of the year, which was attended by the state Transition coordinator, Guilherme Afif Domingos (PSD), and the future Secretary of Government, Gilberto Kassab (PSD),

“It is an excellent initiative that has the full support of the elected government”, said Afif to the members of the entity’s board.
