FIFA released, this Friday (7th), another song that is part of the soundtrack of the Qatar World Cup, which will start on November 20th.
“Light the Sky” is the fourth song produced for the world championship, and is performed by four famous singers of Arab culture – the Emirati Balqees, the Moroccan Nora Fatehi and Manal and the Iraqi Rahma Riad.

The song is produced by the cult Moroccan-Swedish producer RedOne, multi-Grammy winner and responsible for some of Lady Gaga’s biggest hits, such as “Poker Face”, “Bad Romance” and “Just Dance”.
FIFA highlights that the atmosphere of the song celebrates the unprecedented inclusion of female referees in the competition, in the first edition of the tournament in the Middle East. the music clip brings excerpts from images of professional women refereeing in the field.
The Qatar Cup will feature French Stéphanie Frappart, Rwandan Salima Mukansanga and Japan’s Yoshimi Yamashita.
In addition, Brazil is among the countries involved in the unprecedented female participation, on account of the flag Neuza Back, who will go to the World Cup with assistant referees Karen Díaz Medina, from Mexico, and Kathryn Nesbitt, from the United States.
“This is an inspiring song with roots in the Middle East. It is also fitting that the first female referees of a World Cup participate in this launch that will connect football and music lovers of all ages,” said RedOne, in a press release.
