FIFA released this Wednesday (15) the official poster of the 2022 World Cup, which will be held from November 21 to December 18 in Qatar.
The illustration was released after the definition of the last team to qualify for the World Cup: Costa Rica.
The World Cup was completed after the team beat New Zealand 1-0, and Costa Rica stamped the 32nd and final spot in Qatar.

For the first time, a series of posters has been developed for the tournament – all designed by Qatari artist Bouthayna Al Muftah.
“The main poster shows traditional hats [‘gutra’ e o ‘egal’] being thrown into the air – something that symbolizes the celebration and fanaticism for football across Qatar and the Arab world. The seven support posters show the Arab world’s passion for football and the game as something that unites families,” FIFA said on its official website.
Artist Bouthayna Al Muftah said her main inspiration for creating the poster was the concept of collective memory.
“Most of my work focuses on past experiences, memories, tying them to the present and archiving them in a contemporary way. I wanted the posters to follow this theme and tell the story of Qatar’s football culture,” said Al Muftah.
