A confusion during a futsal game in Cocalzinho de Goiás (GO), on the night of last Friday (4), ended with the military police fired, after one of the players accusing the referee of trying to hit him with a pocketknife during a court fight.
The moment was recorded by fans in the stands and it is possible to see the discussion evolve into a body struggle. In the images, the 24 -year -old goes to the referee’s direction, 50, and begins the exchange of physical aggression.
The other players and the arbitration team tried to separate them and contain the fight, which only occurred when the two fell. The PM was called and the two involved gave testimony. Watch video below:
The versions told by the player and the referee were different. The athlete said he was hearing verbal aggressions since the beginning of the match and that the referee had the pocket knife during the confusion. He would have been injured in the arm with the object.
The referee said that the man had been causing problems during the game and that the object he was currently carrying was just a pen. After the fight, however, the police found a pocket knife on the court.
The two were sent to the police station and both signed a Circumstance of Occurrence (TCO) and were released. The corporation did not disclose the identity of those involved.
