Conor McGregor was excited on the red carpet at the world premiere of “Silent Man”, his film debut alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, whose rival he is in the film. Although the former professional fighter in the story is Dalton, Gyllenhaal's character, Knox, played by McGregor, is also a tough match for his opponent.
There were many scenes of punches, kicks and blows that, ironically, he didn't do that well. “The director said it wasn't good and I thought 'man, just do it for real'”, he said, half joking, half sincere.
For the event, at SXSW, McGregor chose a tailored suit from his own brand, August McGregor, and a Chopard diamond watch, which he displayed proudly. “I think this look has a half-Elvis, half-Texas vibe, I wanted to wear it for this special occasion.”
Another reason for the fighter to be proud was his new job. “I'm very excited, I feel lucky to be here alongside this cast. I saw the film and I liked my performance too, I’m looking forward to the audience seeing it.”
“Matador de Aluguel” will be available on Prime Video from March 21st.
