On Wednesday night (26), singer Simony revealed to her Instagram followers that she will need to resume treatment for bowel cancer.
The singer discovered the disease in June last year, started treatments, and after good responses, ended the chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions in December 2022.
On her official Instagram profile, the artist shared a video of her doctor, oncologist Fernando Maluf, explaining a little more about her situation.
“I’m taking care of Simony, this very special person. I’m passing this video on to update her painting. Simony had a great response in the treatment with chemo and radiotherapy in an intestinal lesion and this response was very important”.
“But there are still points of disease activity that will require us to resume treatment with chemotherapy plus immunotherapy. Simony is excited, positive. She is an inspiring person. An example of attitude. We are confident that this treatment will generate a great response. Let’s hope,” added the oncologist.
In the caption of the publication, the singer stated that she is preparing for this fight and that she lives one day at a time.
“I have always been and will be super transparent with you, prayers, love, faith is what I want from all of you always. Tomorrow I come here to talk to you. Getting ready for this fight,” she wrote.
In the comments, the artist received support from family, fans and friends.
