The mother of comedian Filipe Pontes, who was arrested in the act on Saturday (31) after assaulting her, denied that Felipe had beaten her and stated that the fight was with her brother.
According to the woman’s statement, the comedian came home drunk and had a fight with his younger brother, but he never intended to attack his mother. “As a mother I went to separate, I got in the middle and I was pushed. We had a fight like every family does.”
“If it was an unknown person, it would be treated as a family matter and that would be it. As Filipe is known, they made a fuss over his name”, he declared.
In a note, the comedian stated that it was a family fight between brothers, “no big deal”.
“Hello everyone, this is Filipe Pontes! So, quick and brief: it was really a family argument between me and my brother, I don’t know where they got that I attacked my mother! This is not part of my principles, whoever does this isn’t even a human being, but everything is fine with me, my mother and brother we made peace at New Year’s Eve, but I appreciate the affection of those who really are good! Hugs”
The São Paulo Court of Justice (TJSP) also issued a note claiming that Pontes was released after being arrested, but with the imposition of precautionary measures.
“Filipe Pontes was granted provisional release with the imposition of precautionary measures, consisting of the prohibition of approaching the victims and maintaining contact with them by any means of communication, as well as the obligations to attend all acts of the process for which he was required to do so. subpoenaed, not to change residence without informing the court and not to leave the district without judicial authorization, under penalty of reinstatement of imprisonment”.
The incident was registered at the Judiciary Police Center (CPJ) in Ribeirão Preto, on December 31. Pontes’ brother, 21 years old, is also listed as a victim in the police report, registered as domestic violence, threat, insult and factual acts.
