The movie “Clarice sees stars” that marks the First credit of Brazilian player Vini Jr. as a producer will be displayed at Marche Di Film during the Cannes Festival which happens between May 13 and 24.
In the plot, Clarice, a black girl of almost eight years, sees her routine turn upside down with the arrival of a new baby. Feeling displaced and invisible, she finds refuge in a magical book that takes her to the fantastic Aquarius circus-a place where all differences shine. There, Clarice embarks on a journey of self -discovery and empathy, learning to deal with her emotions, face racism in a symbolic way and understand the value of diversity.
In addition to Vini Jr, Bruno Gagliasso is also one of the producers of Leticia Pires’s film.
What is Marché du Film?
Marché Du Film is a business center promoted during the Cannes Film Festival. Every year, he offers festivals (or markets) of the inner world the exclusive opportunity to curate and host his own exclusive showcase at the event.
The opportunity allows the connection with producers, distributors and other global film industry professionals.
This year, Brazil was chosen to be the country honored at Marché Du Film. The choice is part of the Brazil-France 2025 season, a program established by an agreement between the governments of both countries in 2023 to promote cultural exchange in the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
