The last season was confirmed in January 2023 and, at the time, the producers classified the batch of episodes as the “biggest yet” . The creators also took advantage of the space to thank the audience in an open letter, saying that “acquainting the world with the “Karate Kid” universe was our humble honor.”
“Our goal from day one with 'Cobra Kai' has always been to end it our way, leaving everything in the time and place we always imagined. Therefore, it is with immense pride and gratitude that we announce this achievement”, they highlighted.
In February this year, Netflix confirmed the start of recording. The final episodes are being filmed in Atlanta, United States.
The cast of the sixth and final season includes Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Jacob Bertrand as Falcon, Peyton List as Tory Nichols, Dallas Dupree Young as Kenny Payne and Vanessa Rubio as Carmen Diaz.
“Cobra Kai” introduces a new generation of karate students, each with their own struggles and aspirations. The production joins a series of titles that will see their stories end in 2024. Check out the complete list here.
