Final suspension in Parliament by P. Polaki – K. Tassoulas: It will not change the Parliament into a place of cheap activism

The final suspension of tonight’s plenary session of the Parliament that discussed the development bill, was announced by the Third Vice President of the Parliament, Thanassis Bouras, following a decision by the Speaker of the Parliament, Costas Tassoulas.

“The Speaker of Parliament told me to postpone his decision to interrupt tonight’s plenary session and continue it tomorrow. He added that Mr. Polakis will not change the parliament into a place of cheap activism and occupation and those who tolerate and cover they have huge responsibilities “, Mr. Bouras emphasized characteristically.

The meeting was interrupted, by decision of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Charalambos Athanassiou, after the persistent refusal of the former Deputy Minister and MP of SYRIZA Pavlos Polakis, in his repeated recommendations, to comply with the rules of Parliament and not to speak out .

Mr. Polakis insisted on attacking the present Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, for the “Novartis” case.

Mr. Athanassiou removed his speech and ordered that nothing be recorded in the minutes. At the same time, he announced that he would address the Speaker of Parliament, Costas Tassoulas, to judge whether he would be blamed for his anti-parliamentary behavior.

For an hour and a half after the adjournment of the meeting, Mr. Polakis was on the podium waiting for the decision.
