This third film was surrounded by scandal when it was announced in November of last year that Johnny Depp, who played Grindelwald, was leaving the project after Warner Bros. asked him to resign because of the controversial legal battle against his ex-wife Amber Heard. .
So Mads Mikkelsen was chosen to replace Depp, with Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler and Jessica Williams as part of the main cast, bringing to life the characters we already know.
