Finally, the motley coalition of the opposition after the defeat by Erdogan

Its head Republican People’s Party (CHP), Kemal Kilicdarogluand leader of the motley opposition coalition, after the defeat by Recep Tayyip Erdogancalled the leaders of the parties announcing to them the dissolution of the alliance at the parliamentary level.

“Your MPs who entered parliament from our lists can return to their parties”Kemal Kilicdaroglu reportedly told the leaders of the DEVA, Gelecec, Saadet and Democratic Party parties.

This is the first move that marks the end of the electoral alliance of the opposition, which had been formed with the aim of overthrowing Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

His vice president of Meral Aksener’s far-right “Good Party”., Bahadir Erdem, stated that “the electoral alliance ended with the end of the elections”. “This alliance was an alliance, a union of forces, to elect the presidential candidate, Mr. Kilicdaroglu,” he said and added:

“Political parties are of course rivals to each other and continue on their way. They make politics to serve the nation with their own staff and programs. An electoral alliance cannot be expected from today. Continuing this alliance is also not a politically correct approach.”

It is noted that Meral Aksener was the politician who had expressed the most serious doubts about the candidacy of Kemal Kilicdaroglu. Yes, yes he had also threatened to withdraw from the coalition. However, he was finally convinced and supported the leader of the Kemalist party, but failed once again to defeat Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“There is no question of cooperation with the Nation alliance at this time. If cooperation is required in the municipal elections, which will be held in 10 months, then it can be discussed. But we are a separate party. We will continue our work as a party,” another Good Party official said.
