The British government is considering new measures to protect children on the internet, such as banning access to social media for a few hours, the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, Peter Kyle, revealed today. As Kyle told the Daily Telegraph, “examines carefully” the imposition of a ban on Tiktok at 22:00 for users under the age of 16 and finding tools for parents to interrupt access to a predetermined time. “These are issues I consider,” the minister said. “I’m not going to do something that will have a significant impact on every child in this country without ensuring that there are evidence that supports it,” he added.
