Financial movement of small and medium-sized companies rises 10% in April, says study

The financial movement of small and medium-sized companies in Brazil, the so-called SMEs grew by 10% in April compared to the same month in 2021, according to the sector performance index calculated by Omie, startup owner of a business management platform.

In comparison with March 2022, the movement fell by 10.3%. According to the study, the result reflects a seasonality of the month of April, which had fewer working days because of National holidays . Even so, the index was 2.8% higher than the average level of the first two months of this year.

The survey also points out that the April result was driven mainly by the infrastructure (29.6% increase), trade (21.5%) and industry (9.7%).

The survey on small and medium-sized companies analyzes companies with annual revenues of up to R$50 million, monitoring 622 economic activities in five sectors.
