The accident involving a Bus with 45 passengers left 25 injured On the Presidente Dutra Highway, at the time of Pindamonhangaba, in the interior of São Paulo, at dawn on Thursday (6).
The Civil Defense of the State of São Paulo reported that A 13 -year -old teenager died at the hospital. The accident occurred at km 98 of the highway.
THE CNN contacted the Federal Highway Police to understand the circumstances of the accident. According to the PRF, the asphalt would not have ceded.
At the scene of the accident, there is a curb that divides the shoulder with the ravine. The driver would have tried to perform a maneuver, in which one of the bus wheels climbed in this curb and the vehicle lost his balance, falling into the bluff.
The Highway Police confirmed that, with the weight of the bus in the gutter, the force of the fall damaged the curb, but the shoulder asphalt is intact.
The right track of the road and the shoulder are banned. At the moment, 2 km of congestion are recorded .
