O Madonna show on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, on May 4th, will be broadcast live on TV Globo, Multishow and Globoplay for those unable to attend.
The singer's performance in Brazil was confirmed this Monday (25) by the event organizers at a press conference held at the Copacabana Palace hotel.
The show will be the singer's only show in South America and will mark the end of “The Celebration Tour” , which celebrates the queen of pop's 40-year career, goes through all her eras and brings together some of her main hits. Hits such as “Vogue”, “Holiday” and “Like a Prayer” are present in the setlist.
The show will be produced by the same company responsible for the Rolling Stones' presentation in Copacabana in 2006. So that everyone present can see the show, the organization promises to set up 16 audio and video towers along the beach.
The City of Rio de Janeiro and the State Government, in turn, will be responsible for security and access to the event, including public inspections.
Even before Madonna's performance in Brazil was confirmed, the singer's fans were already preparing to buy plane tickets in the hope of securing a place to watch the show on Copacabana beach.
This will be the fourth time that Madonna will come to Brazil to perform. In her first visit, in 1993, the singer did a show at Morumbi and another at Maracanã with the “The Girlie Show” tour, from the album “Erotica”.
