Find out what to expect from Sean’s 5th day of the “Diddy” Combs

Judge Arun Subramanian told lawyers that he wants to dispense Cassie Ventura, Sean’s ex-girlfriend “Diddy” Combs and one of his accused, the testimony on Friday (16)-and that the defense is expected to end his counterrogatory before lunch.

This is because Ventura is “very pregnant” and, as prosecutor Maurene Comey said, may have the baby “over the weekend.”

The defense says it is working as soon as possible in a series of evidence, including explicit text messages between Ventura and Combs. Lawyer Marc Agnifilo said they will do their best to finish the counterrogatory in time for lunch today, but could not make any promise.

Subramanian said that since the accusation had a day and a half for direct interrogation, the defense should also have a day and a half for counterrogatory.

He noted that technically has the authority to interrupt the counterrogatory when it reaches the duration of direct testimony, although it has not necessarily indicated that it would do so. The judge left open the possibility of granting the defense additional time today after lunch, if necessary.

US Assistant Prosecutor Emily Johnson said she expects to need about an hour of Ventura reinterrogatory today as soon as the defense is over.

Preparing the rest of the trial

Ventura’s answers to both prosecution and defense questions are “preparing the most elaborate arguments” that lawyers on each side will present in the coming weeks of Comb criminal trial, making their full participation crucial.

After she finishes, the testimony will be reinforced by expert witnesses on each side, told trial consultant Richard Gabriel to CNN yesterday. Then, the lawyers will take what Ventura said in the statement and argue how this applies to real legal statutes.

This Friday (16) will be the fourth day of Ventura’s testimony.
