THE Cannes Festival It starts this Tuesday (13) with the Brazilian cinema as one of the protagonists of the edition. In addition to Brazil being the country honored at Marché Du Film, two national films are on the program – one in the official selection and one in a parallel show.

The New Movie Kleber Mendonça Filho (“Aquarius” and “Bacurau”), entitled “The secret agent“ will make your debut at the event. He is in the official selection and competes for the Golden Palm . The title is starred by Wagner Moura and marks the return of the star to Brazilian productions.

Already in the show UN RECOIN REGARD the second most important of the festival, is “The laughter and the knife” movie inspired by Tom Zé’s music.

Brazil will be the country of honor of the 78th edition of the Cannes Festival as part of the 200th anniversary celebration of diplomatic relations with France, where the event takes place.

The Brazil Cinema Program confirms that more than 100 national companies will participate in the Marché do Film this year, where several Brazilian productions will be displayed. The group includes producers, distributors, sales agents, festivals, film commissions and Brazilian service providers.
