Find out who Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's six children are

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt created together, in total, six children — three adopted and three biological. After the separation, in 2016, a long legal battle was fought to define who would have custody of all of them. The father is finished losing custody, having only the right to visit them.

The couple became close in 2005 while filming the film “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” At the time, Jolie already had children: Maddox Jolie-Pitt, adopted in 2002, and Zahara, in 2005 — two whom Pitt adopted after the beginning of their relationship. Remember that they are the couple's six children.

Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt

Her first child was adopted in 2002 by the actress while she was not yet in a relationship with Brad Pitt. Maddox was recorded by Jolie at seven months in Cambodia, a year after Jolie recorded “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” in the country.

During the couple's divorce process Maddox testified against his father, reporting the bad relationship that existed in the family and accusing him of domestic violence. Pitt was even investigated for attacking his son during a flight — and was cleared.

Maddox studied Biochemistry at the University of Seoul, South Korea and appeared in the film “First They Killed My Father” along with Jolie. The story details the genocide that occurred in Cambodia in the 1970s.

Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt

The girl was adopted at three months old in Ethiopia, in 2005, when the couple were already dating. However, she was registered only with Angelina's surname, adding Pitt later, when the actor officially requested paternity. When Zahara turned two years old, her biological mother went public to ask for custody of the girl, giving up a few weeks later and declaring that she was happy with the new family she was in.

At age 18, Zahara appeared in a video celebrating her entry into a university fraternity — Alpha Kappa Alpha, the first black sorority at Spelman College — using only her mother's surname and raising questions about the lack of the Pitt surname in the speech.

Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt

The first biological daughter of the couple Pitt and Jolie was born in 2006, shortly after the couple announced the beginning of their relationship, in Namibia, an African country. Always supporting her mother on the red carpets, the girl's growth was exposed by the media on several occasions.

Months after the announcement that she would live with her father in California, in 2024, the girl showed signs that her approach to Pitt would not have worked out. As soon as she turned 18 in May, Shiloh filed a court request to have her father's surname removed from her records.

Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt

The family's fourth child was abandoned by his biological mother in Vietnam and lived in a shelter until he was three years old, in 2007, when Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt adopted him.

Pax — like Maddox — also had appearances in the audiovisual world. In 2014, he made a special appearance in the film “Maleficent”, in which his mother was the protagonist, voiced the character Yoo in “Kung Fu Panda 3”, in 2016, and worked as an assistant director on “Without Blood”, a feature film directed by Jolie.

In 2020, the couple's fourth child used social media to demonstrate his anger against Pitt. Pax published a text on Instagram Stories with a series of insults to his own father, saying: “You turned the lives of those close to me into a constant hell. You can say whatever you want to yourself and the world, but the truth will be revealed someday. You will never understand the damage you caused my family.”

Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt

The couple's twins — and last — biological children were born in 2008, in France.

Knox had a small role in the dubbing of “Kung Fu Panda 3” in 2016, but his mother declared that her son had no intention of pursuing his career. Vivienne participated in the film “Maleficent”, in 2014, with the justification that she was the only child who could act alongside the character's mother, who had horns and a cape.

In 2024, when she participated in the production of “The Outsiders on Broadway” with her mother, the daughter signed only as Vivienne Jolie, following in the footsteps of her older brothers in eliminating her father's surname from their records.
