Amid allegations of sexual harassment against the current president of Federal Savings Bank , Pedro Guimarães the name of Daniella Marques Consentino appeared this Wednesday (29) as a favorite to replace him in office.
The possibility of Marques’ appointment was confirmed by the policy analyst at CNN , Thais Arbex. The secretary is considered one of the closest people to the minister Paulo Guedes .
She currently holds the position of Special Secretary for Productivity and Competitiveness of the Ministry of Economy for which she was nominated on February 2, 2022.
Marques has been a member of the federal government since 2019, when she was appointed head of the Special Advisory for Strategic Affairs of Minister Paulo Guedes.
She holds a degree in business administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ) and an MBA – postgraduate degree – in finance from the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (Ibmec).
According to the Ministry of Economy, she worked for 20 years in the financial market, in the area of independent management of investment funds. Marques was also a founding partner and director of investment funds.
On May 25, he participated, along with the president Jair Bolsonaro of an event on the maintenance of resources for micro and small companies within the scope of the National Support Program for Micro and Small Businesses (Pronampe).
Marques’ appointment would take place after the Federal Public Ministry (MPF ) open an investigation into complaints by Caixa employees that Pedro Guimarães had sexual harassment .
The complaints against Pedro Guimarães were revealed by the “Metrópoles” portal, and the MPF investigation was confirmed by the CNN .
In a note to the portal, Caixa informed that “it is not aware of the complaints presented by the vehicle”. THE CNN allies of President Bolsonaro indicated that Guimarães could be fired later this Wednesday.
