Find out who is the young man trapped in a submarine that disappeared in the Atlantic

Young Pakistani Suleman Dawood, who is among the five people trapped in the missing Titan submersible, is a student at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.

The university confirmed CNN this Thursday (22) that Suleman is a student at Strathclyde Business School and has just completed his freshman year.

“We are deeply concerned for Suleman, his father and the others involved in this incident. Our thoughts are with their families and loved ones and we continue to look forward to a positive outcome,” said a spokesperson for the University of Strathclyde.

Pakistani father and son are on board a submersible that was intended to observe the wreckage of the Titanic at the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean, according to a statement released by the family on Tuesday (20).

The statement confirmed the presence of Shahzada Dawood and her son on the “voyage to visit the remains of the Titanic in the Atlantic Ocean”. “So far, contact has been lost with their submersible vessel and limited information is available,” the Dawood family statement said.

“A rescue effort being jointly led by multiple government agencies and deepwater companies is underway to re-establish contact with the submersible and bring them back safely.”

“We are very grateful for the concern shown by our colleagues and friends and would like to ask everyone to pray for his safety, ensuring the family’s privacy at this time. The family is well cared for and praying to Allah for the safe return of their family members.”

Shahzada Dawood is a curator at the Seti Institute in California, according to a biography posted on his website. According to the biography, Dawood is vice president of the Dawood Hercules Corporation, part of the Dawood Group.
