Find out why Kid Cudi’s testimony is important in the Diddy’s trial

Prosecutors need the testimony of rapper Kid Cudi to support the argument that the criminal fire was “only one of the crimes committed according to a broader conspiracy that Combs was the center,” said the legal analyst of CNN Elliot Williams.

Cassie Ventura claimed in her statement and her civil action that her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs was furious and threatened to blow up Kid Cudi’s vehicle in 2011 when she found that Ventura and Kid Cudi were dating. Shortly after the threat was made, Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his garage, witnessed Ventura.

Kid Cudi, whose name is Scott Mescudi, should testify this Thursday (22).

Williams said prosecutors were able to establish “violent behavioral patterns” by Combs, and prove that he obtained narcotics and became involved in sexual trafficking.

“They have to put this under an umbrella so that there is an accusation of extortion, or at least, to ensure a condemnation of it,” Williams told John Berman of CNN . “That he drove, according to a wider criminal company, all these acts happened together, and he was involved in acts of strength and threats to promote this criminal activity.”

Combs declared innocent of accusations that include conspiracy of extortion and sexual trafficking. If convicted of all the charges, he could take life imprisonment.
