Administrative fines totaling 120,340 euros are imposed, by decision of the Minister of Development & Investment, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, in two supermarket chains and specifically 86,340 euros in one and 34,000 euros in the second, as announced by the Ministry of Development.
The fines are imposed because in audits carried out by auditors of the Inter-Service Market Control Unit (DIMEA) it was found that they were selling with a higher gross profit margin in violation of article 21 (par. 4b) of the Legislative Content Act of 20/3/2020. 68) “Urgent measures to address the consequences of the risk of the spread of Covid-19 coronavirus, to support society and entrepreneurship and to ensure the proper functioning of the market and public administration”.
It is pointed out that the publication of the names of the companies, to which administrative fines are imposed for reasons of scandal, will begin immediately after the adoption of a relevant legislative regulation by the Greek Parliament, the ministry notes.
