Fines of 257,000 euros to a private clinic and 3 gas stations in Rhodes

A fine of 241,970 euros is imposed by the decision of the Minister of Development & Investments, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, on the “Medical of Athens”, because during an inspection by the Interdepartmental Market Control Unit (D.M.E.A.) it was found that the provisions of the Ministerial Decisions were violated on the imposition of a maximum price (ceiling) on the price of the coronavirus detection test using the molecular control method.

At the same time, by decision of the Minister of Development & Investments, fines of a total amount of 15,000 euros are imposed on 3 liquid fuel stations, in Rhodes, as checks by the Interagency Market Control Unit (DIMEA) found that they violated the written provisions on unfair profiteering (Law 4818/ 2021).

In addition, a recommendation is addressed to another gas station, in Lefkada, to stop the illegal practice of obtaining a benefit in favor of the normal one.

Based on the existing legislation, the names of the companies on which an administrative fine is imposed as long as it exceeds 50,000 euros are made public, while each company retains the right to appeal to the courts.
