FinExpertiza: Bitcoin turns out to be the most profitable instrument for the second year in a row

For the second year in a row, analysts of the audit and consulting network FinExpertiza have named bitcoin the most profitable investment tool.

As Izvestia reports with reference to the FinExpertiza rating, analysts have calculated the potential profit from investing 100,000 rubles in various assets at the beginning of the year. For the second year in a row, bitcoin took first place in the rating – its yield since the beginning of the year was 65.6%. That is, a potential investor would receive 65,600 rubles of profit from the invested 100,000 rubles.

Real estate was also named as a profitable tool – in 2021, the price per square meter in new buildings in Russia increased by an average of 33%. The investor’s return would be 28.7% (net of income tax).

The third and fourth places are occupied by the American and Russian stock markets. The S&P 500 is up 25.7%, and investors in Russian equities would, on average, make an 18.9% return. True, in all cases, the investor would have to pay income tax, but personal income tax is not paid for holding shares for more than three years, and real estate for more than five years (in some cases, also for 3 years).

The profitability of bank deposits has dropped significantly and the profit would have been only 4.5%, which does not even cover inflation. At the same time, investing in foreign currency is not at all profitable – the dollar exchange rate remained at the same level, and the buyers of the euro even lost 7.8%. Investors in the most reliable bonds (government and corporate), gold and most other metals would also lose money.

As Pavel Mitrofanov, General Director of Expert Business Solutions LLC, emphasized, although bitcoin continues to be an extremely profitable instrument, one should not forget about the risks:

“Cryptocurrencies and stocks are extremely volatile. This means that the risk of losing money there is high, and on average, a successful 2021 for investors may not be repeated. ”

Earlier, the founder of Quantum Fintech Harry Yeh urged cryptocurrency investors to be guided not only by the desire to protect capital from inflation, but also to consider their benefits for the entire portfolio.
