A fire broke out at the site of a military unit in Dolgoprudny, near Moscow, the central directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Moscow region reported, TASS news agency reported. The source of the Russian agency claimed that the fire broke out in the area of the military unit.
At the same time, the Ministry of Emergency Situations had announced that the fire occurred in an apartment building. “At the time of the arrival of the first fire-rescue team, thick smoke was coming from the roof,” the ministry said in its statement. There were no reports of injuries, the fire was extinguished, the ministry said. The fire spread over an area of 1200 square meters.
The Telegram channel Baza wrote that a wooden building, which served as a barracks, caught fire. According to the said channel, there were lotteries and staff in the building, and all of them were evacuated according to the first information.
As the Kommersant newspaper points out based on the satellite photo, there is military equipment on the premises opposite the house number 33 on Vastochnaya Street in Dolgoprudny, where the military unit number 52116 is located.
Since the beginning of the war there have been dozens of reports of arson of recruitment offices in various Russian cities.
