The State Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration of the Federal District (SEAPE-DF) told the CNN that there was no injuries or attempted riot or something similar.
The Fire Department (CBMDF) was even triggered, but the flames were contained by the criminal police themselves before the agents arrived. CBMDF acted only at the ventilation of the environment to disperse smoke.
“The site was preserved for the expertise and the real circumstances will be clarified after the expert report,” said Seape in a statement.
