A military firefighter was arrested for attempted murder on Thursday night (1st) in Nova Iguaçu, Baixada Fluminense, after shooting an application car where a woman was with a meeting. The crime happened after the victim decided to end the night and leave. Luckily, no one was injured.
According to information from the Civil Police, the woman met Anderson Pereira Bezzoco in a gym. They exchanged phones and agreed to meet in a restaurant in the region. During the conversation, she didn’t like the firefighter’s behavior and decided to leave the place. For this, he called a car by app.
Dissatisfied with the decision, Bezzoco followed the vehicle and, at some point, drew a firearm and shot several times against the car. The car, a silver model, had shot marks on the front windshield and the back.
A 52nd DP (Nova Iguaçu) car was passing by at the time of the attack and provided help to the passenger and the driver. Despite the shots, no one was hit. The firefighter fled, but was located and arrested in his residence shortly after, also in Baixada Fluminense.
The Rio de Janeiro Court has decreed the pre -trial detention of Anderson Bezzoco, who is now responsible for attempted murder. He was sent to the Special Prison Group (GEP) of the Fire Department.
In a statement, the Rio de Janeiro State Military Fire Department (CBMERJ) stated that it carried out the arrest operation in conjunction with the 52nd DP and that it established an internal procedure to investigate the conduct of the military.
“The CBMERJ stresses that it does not condone with crimes of any kind and repudiate acts that transginate the precepts of order, discipline and morals, characteristics of the profession of military firefighter,” said the corporation.
