Firefighters, civil aviation investigators, even… psychics who claim to communicate with animals have been recruited by the authorities Bolivia to join the operation to locate Tito.
Where is Tito, a gray and white cat who disappeared during a domestic flight last month.
The case of Tito and his determined owner, Andrea Iture, has gripped the country.
Consumer Rights Minister Jorge Silva revealed this week that authorities called in… psychics to locate the pet. This professional, with her “techniques”, could if she “contacted Tito to tell us where he is”, the minister explained to the country’s radio station, adding that “we will exhaust every possibility to find him”.
Tito went missing on December 8, according to Ms Iture’s posts on social networking sites, which had a huge impact. Airline officials told her the cat had to be moved to the cargo hold of the plane that would make the flight from Tarija to Santa Cruz, she said.
On landing, Tito was missing.

On December 12, Public Works Minister Edgar Montano announced that a new major investigation was being launched.
“He likes tuna, so we left tuna out” said the minister during a press conference, explaining that it is suspected that the cat is roaming the airport from where the flight departed.
Some animal lovers blame BoA, for the fact that Mrs. Iture’s pet went missing. The company has said little about the case and did not respond when asked by Reuters for comment.
Andrea Iture called on people in a video to keep an eye out for the cat, insisting: “I will not stop looking for him”.
