Fires in Greece: The EU civil protection mechanism is mobilized

The mobilization of the protection policy mechanism to help Italy, Greece, Albania and Northern Macedonia to fight the catastrophic fires was announced on Wednesday (4/8). European Commission.

The European Union Emergency Response Coordination Center 24/7 is in constant contact with the civil protection authorities of the countries affected by the fires to monitor the situation closely and to channel EU aid.
