Representatives of the GMC company, together with the auction house Barrett-Jackson, launched the sale of the first batch of electric Hummer EV pickups, and a few hours later they sold all cars at a fairly impressive price – $ 112,600 per unit (about 8.5 million rubles). But at the very beginning of the auction, the amount was completely different – the manufacturer managed to sell the first car of this line during the auction, which will be delivered to the buyer much earlier than the serial models, for $ 2.5 million (about 190 million rubles). That is, 22 times more expensive than other models from the same line.
This pickup received the exclusive name GMC Hummer EV Edition 1, and the manufacturer noted that this equipment will be available only in the first batch of cars – in the future, it will not be possible to buy a similar SUV. In addition, the buyer of this car will receive it earlier than everyone else, although the difference in delivery times is not very big. The Edition 1 model is planned to be delivered to the owner by the end of 2021, and the sale of the first batch of production pickups is scheduled for 2022. Accordingly, for the fact of owning the first electric GMC pickup, the user overpaid approximately $ 2.4 million.

On the other hand, aside from the insane cost of the first car, the new electric pickup looks pretty good. It is equipped with three electric motors, the total power of which reaches 1014 horsepower – from zero to a hundred of such an impressive size, the car accelerates in just three seconds. At the same time, the built-in battery of the novelty is enough for 560 kilometers. And for those who do not need to drive such a fast pickup truck, the manufacturer is already preparing simpler models for two motors, which will sell several tens of thousands cheaper.
