Recently Huawei officially presented its new mobile operating system – HarmonyOS 2.0. And now it became known that the company has finally begun to distribute the stable version of HarmonyOS 2.0 for ordinary users.

At the first stage of the distribution of HarmonyOS 2.0, smartphones of the Huawei Mate 40, Huawei P40, Huawei Mate 30 series and the Huawei MatePad Pro tablet can join it. All of these models have previously participated in the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta testing.

Now stable HarmonyOS 2.0 can be installed not only by beta test participants, but also by ordinary users of Huawei smartphones in China.

HarmonyOS 2.0 update 2.0.0.116 is 398MB for beta testers and about 6GB for smartphone users with EMUI 11 installed.

In total, Huawei plans to transfer more than a hundred of its own device models from Android to HarmonyOS. Distribution of the HarmonyOS 2.0 update will take place in several phases. Many Honor models will also be able to migrate to HarmonyOS.
