First meeting between Biden and Saudi Arabia’s successor, Mohammed bin Salman, most likely in June

U.S. President Joe Biden and Saudi Arabia’s most powerful man, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, are likely to meet for the first time in June, according to CNN, citing more than one source.

Biden government officials are in talks with the Saudis for a possible face-to-face meeting when the US president is in the region in June, according to the report.

US-Saudi ties have been hurt by Biden’s decisions to halt the Saudi-led military campaign in Yemen in 2021, but also to release information that the Crown Prince has approved his arrest and public assassination. Jamal Kasogi, in 2018, at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
