OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei announced at the end of January that he had started his own company called Nothing, adding that it would specialize in creating consumer products with new technologies.
There were numerous rumors that Nothing would focus on consumer audio devices in particular. It was later announced that the company will introduce the Ear 1 earphones this June. Later, Karl Pei confirmed that the launch was postponed until “the end of this summer,” and today he clarified that the presentation will take place on July 27 this year.

The press invitation is silent on specifications or design, but it is known that the new headphones will be produced in collaboration with Swedish consumer electronics firm Teenage Engineering.
Nothing has already been backed by Alphabet, Google’s parent company, which has invested $ 15 million in the new startup, and other vendors. Carl Pei previously said that Nothing’s products will use custom-made components that will set them apart from the competition.
