Kia has released the first official images of the all-new Kia Sportage crossover, showing a completely redesigned design for one of the most popular SUVs in recent years.
Images confirm that the car will receive larger, curved daytime running lights, a new grille, redesigned profile, more modern LED taillights and other changes. Overall, the car has received a sportier and more modern design than its predecessor.
Inside, there will be a huge curved display that will integrate the digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system. Similarly, the interior is implemented in the new electric crossover Kia EV6.
The center of the steering wheel features the new Kia logo and features multi-zone climate control, ambient lighting and aluminum trim. Earlier it was reported that the new Sportage will share many details with the new Hyundai Tucson, including the 3rd generation platform and powertrain. This means that for the first time we will get a true hybrid in the Sportage line, as well as a Plug-in Hybrid.
The new Sportage is expected to be available with different engines depending on the markets. In Europe, there will be 1.6- and 2-liter diesel engines and a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline hybrid.
The presentation of the Kia Sportage 2022 model year is expected in June this year, and the start of sales of the car will take place this fall.
