Samsun, which launched sales of its new flagship smartphones Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra today, has released the first software update for the entire family of these devices.
This firmware contains the February 2022 security update. Since sales are just beginning in many regions of the world, this update will be offered for installation when you first turn on your smartphone.
Unfortunately, this update does not fix the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra screen issue that was reported a few days ago. Recall that the first users of the Galaxy S22 faced a serious problem, which is expressed in the appearance of a fairly wide band of pixels on the screen.
Samsung promised to fix the situation with a software update, but, apparently, work on it has just begun. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra users who are experiencing this issue will have to be patient and wait for the next patch.
So far, Samsung is recommending that customers downgrade from WQHD+ to FHD+ and opt for Vivid mode. To do this, go to the “Settings” of your smartphone, then to “Display” > “Screen Mode”.
